These unprecedented times can be quite stressful for many of us, leaving us feeling fearful and with a sense of being overwhelmed. Self-care is so important and now more than ever we need to make sure we take care of ourselves and others. We have put together a few tips and ideas that might help you to manage your stress.

1. Exercise
Regular exercise is one of the best ways to relax your body and mind. Exercise can help to improve your mood and even just a 20-minute walk can do wonders.

2. Relax Your Muscles
When you are stressed, your muscles get tense. You can help loosen them up on your own and refresh your body with simple steps like stretching, having a massage, taking a hot bath with fragrant oils or bath salts or taking some time to simply meditate.

3. Deep Breathing
Just pausing to take a few deep breaths can be so calming.

4. Eat Well
Eating a regular, well-balanced diet will help you feel better in general. It may also help control your moods. Your meals should be full of vegetables, fruit, whole grains, and lean protein for energy.

5. Write it Down
It can be helpful to write in a journal or a diary. Think of writing as a form of release, that is safe and can help you make some sense of how you are feeling.
